1. What is Tilt-Up Construction?

Tilt-Up Construction is a fast, economical and safe method of construction and is now widely used in Australia - and not just for industrial buildings; the variety of uses is almost endless.
2. I want to build a tilt-up factory/warehouse, where do I start?

First of all acknowledge that Tilt-Up is an Engineering System and not a Building System. This system must be planned on paper, not on site. Make sure all alterations take place on the drawing board. Find an Engineer who is knowledgeable in Tilt-Up Construction.
3. Why should I come to Advanced Building Systems rather than other competitors?

Because Advanced Building Systems introduced the first ground release Tilt-Up System into Australia in the early 1980's and is still the leader. We supply a comprehensive range of tilt-up componentry and chemicals, everything you need.

8. Are Tilt-Up Buildings more resistant to fire and seismic activity?

Yes, where there is evidence of fire in a genuine Tilt-Up, not precast building, the building is much more resistant to fire as against brick or block.
Yes, the Tilt-Up buildings in Newcastle, as was the case in Los Angles, behaved very well in a seismic condition - much better than other structures.
9. What can be designed in Tilt-Up.

Most things can be designed in Tilt-Up. The design of a Tilt-Up building is only constrained by the Designers Imagination.
10. What is the price per square metre?

Price is dependent on the Architects and Engineers design, but it is generally 20% to 25% cheaper than conventional construction on any building over 1000 square metres.
11. Who are reliable sub-contractors who do panel work?

Contact us requesting an up-to-date list, and we will provide it for you.
12. Where can I find independent information?

You can find independent information from The Cement and Concrete Association of Australia.
13. How do you apply Bond Breaker and how quickly can I paint panels.
