Super Tilt Bond Breaker WB

Advanced Building Systems have just released a new and improved bond breaking agent for Tilt-Up Construction which allows you to paint immediately and provides a good release from the casting bed - "the best we have used". Tilt-Up Building Systems Australia say after using Super Tilt Bond Breaker "The panels jumped up off the casting bed".

It contains no waxes or paraffin oil. Chemically reactive polymers and water repellents penetrate the concrete and create a physical barrier that seals the surface. A second coat applied to the casting slab prevents tilt-up panels from bonding to the slab. Panels lift easily without sticking. Less force is required than is typical with membrane type Bond Breakers. When applied properly, Burke Super Tilt Bond Breaker WB yields a surface ready to receive paint or other treatments.

Because only a minimum amount of bond breaker will transfer to the panel, surface preparation and cleaning is reduced. There is no need to wait for membrane residues to oxidise before applying coatings to the panel. Super Bond Breaker WB remaining on the floor slab will not prevent the bonding of solvent adhesives used to apply tile, linoleum or other coverings. The benefits of Super Tilt Bond Breaker are:-

A relatively thin coating of bond breaker is sufficient (10 – 12 m2/litre, 1st coat) (12 – 17m2/litre, 2nd coat).
Make sure you allow the 1st coat to dry before applying 2nd coat.
Covers more square surface area than typical membrane forming products.
The savings in material and application time make it an efficient, economical Bond Breaker.
Because the material is absorbed into the concrete, the treated surface resists traffic abrasion.
It has an excellent resistance to damage from sunlight.
Rain will not generally penetrate or wash away the bond breaking layer once it has dried.
Painting can take place a lot earlier than other bond breakers.
